President/CEO

Theo P. Costas, Jr., has worked at Southern Beverage for 62 years. Though he
began early on loading delivery trucks, Theo joined full-time in 1964 after
graduating from Mississippi College with a Business degree and completing
U.S. Army active duty. Afterwards, he attended OCS (Officer Candidate School)
and served as an aide-de-camp to General Walter Johnson Adjutant General
of Mississippi State National Guard. He worked his way up from route driver
to management, learning every facet of the business under his father's mentorship.
Theo served on the Wholesaler Advisory Panel of Anheuser-Busch at 30 years old
from 1971 until 1973. He is currently the President/CEO of Southern Beverage
and continues to manage all aspects of the business.

His leadership over the years has driven significant growth and expansion
of the business throughout the State of Mississippi. He continues to lead
and most currently mentor his children, Rebecca and Theo Costas, III,
providing them with a plan for continued success of the family business f
or generations to come.

Successor Manager in Training

Theo Costas, III started his career at Southern Beverage during his high school years.
He began working in the warehouse during summer breaks, starting in 2017.
His duties included repacking, order picking, and miscellaneous tasks.
He moved on to working with the delivery team as a helper on the truck in 2019.

Theo graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2023 with a
bachelor’s degree in business administration

While attending Ole Miss, Theo worked as a Salesman during the summer months at our Batesville location. After moving back to Ridgeland, Theo completed the Anheuser-Busch partners program. In 2024, he attended Delta Technical College’s driver’s education program and obtained his CDL. Theo served as the SEC (Sales Execution Coordinator) from the years 2024-2025. This role consisted of using data provided by Anheuser Busch and internal systems to find opportunities in the market and communicating these to the salesmen and team leaders. Currently, Theo is serving as Key Account Manager, which focuses on maintaining/building relationships with chain accounts leaders, overseeing individual accounts owned by these chains, and communicating programs to the salesman to ensure execution.

Successor Manager in Training

Rebecca Costas graduated from the University of Mississippi with a
Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. After working an internship
with Ole Miss athletics, she realized she wanted to take a new career path
and learn all aspects of the family business.

She began her career at Southern Beverage during the summer of 2025. She first worked on the sales side of the business. Rebecca spent several months shadowing team leaders and salesmen and working accounts with them. She learned the processes, created relationships with managers and gained knowledge of shelf sets. She is currently working in the warehouse, learning the aspects of everyday operations. In January of 2026, Rebecca joined the Anheuser-Busch Partners Program. This opportunity allows her to travel to St. Louis, Chicago and New York, where she attends courses, makes connections with others who are future generation leaders of wholesalers and gains substantial knowledge about the brewery and business operations.

Vice President of Sales/Successor Manager

Chris began working for Southern Beverage Company, Inc during his last two summers of college while attending Mississippi State University. During those two summers Chris worked in the warehouse and delivery departments and gained early exposure to the beverage distribution industry.

Upon graduating with a degree in Economics & Finance in 2014, Chris joined Southern Beverage Company full-time and remained with the organization throughout his entire professional career. Over the years, he has worked across every department of the business and at each company location, developing  understanding of all aspects of the business and its operations.

In 2024, Chris completed the Anheuser-Busch Successor Manager program, allowing him to act as successor to owner and Equity Agreement Manager, Theo P Costas Jr. Also in 2024, Chris, alongside Theo Costas III were two of twenty-two people nationwide to complete the Anheuser Busch Partners Program.

In May of 2025, Chris was promoted to Vice President of Sales for Southern Beverage Company, Inc. In this role, Chris is responsible for coordinating and centralizing all marketing activities as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations for all SBC locations.

Vice President/Executive Assistant to President/CEO, Theo P. Costas, Jr.

Jamie has been a valuable part of the Southern Beverage administration team
for more than 18 years. She supports our amazing President/CEO,
Mr. Theo Costas, Jr. She wears many hats at Southern Beverage!

Jamie plans meetings, manages travel arrangements for supplier meetings, maintains corporate minutes, meetings and documents, coordinates with outside service providers, bankers, attorneys, insurance representatives and directors of our other locations, among many other things. Prior to joining the team in January of 2008, she was a legal assistant at Dewey & LeBoeuf (formally, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Green & McRae) in mid-town Manhattan for 5 years, supporting three attorneys in the corporate segment and serving as the
floor coordinator. Prior to that, Jamie was a legal assistant with Conner & Lindamood, a prestigious family law firm in downtown Houston, TX, where she supported founding attorney, Tom Connor. Jamie attained a diverse education at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana and continued pursuing her education at Hunter College, City University in NYC.

Controller

Sydney joined the team at Southern Beverage Company in October of 2025
and assumed the role of Controller, after the retirement of
John Campbell on December 31st.

Sydney graduated from Mississippi State University with a Master of Professional Accounting
in 2018 and earned her CPA in June of 2019.

Prior to joining the team, Sydney worked at the public accounting firm Horne for 8 years
where she specialized in construction and quickly rose to the position of Senior Manager.
Sydney is using the skills she acquired during her tenure there to implement a modernized
look and more efficient ecosystem here on the accounting side of SBC. Sydney’s
knowledge and experience, particularly on the audit side,
has been a welcome addition to our company.
